If I’m not wondering about weird science phenomena, I’m talking about any one of the following: Space stuff (I recently wrote about the researchers trying to turn plastic into food for deep space missions), kudzu (I just published a nonfiction book all about the emblematic vine!) and the multitude of novels I’m actively reading (I review fiction for fun).

I’m a second-generation American. My parents immigrated to the United States from Indonesia and former Yugoslavia. I, on the other hand, was born and (somewhat) raised in The County That Can’t Vote Right, Florida. (Where I used to cover rather tumultuous local and state elections.)

My mantra? To always striving to leave the world better than we found it.
